KSPL-006: 4 Days Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara Bird watching and Wildlife Safari

A safari to the world famous Bird Sanctuary of Lake Nakuru, then South over the Mau Escarpment to Kenya's greatest concentration of game - the Maasai Mara- Kenya's most popular game park, with the possibility of seeing all the big five and many other species of game. This is where the great wildebeest migration is a spectacle to behold for any would be visitor to Kenya mainly in July –October  each year

Day 1 : Nairobi –Lake Nakuru National park
Pick up from your hotel at 0800 hrs
and drive to the Great Rift Valley viewing sceneries enroute.We arrive to the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s Great masses of Flamingos in good time for lunch. Lunch at a lodge followed by full afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge or similar

Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here

Day 2 : Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara
We break the camp/depart the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Maasai Mara to arrive in good time for Lunch. Late afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge or Similar

Day 3 : Maasai Mara
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5- Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 395 per person.

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.

Day 4 : Maasai Mara – Nairobi- Mombasa

Pre breakfast game drives then drive to Nairobi via Narok to arrive by 1400 hrs where the tour ends

Six Days Kenya wildlife lodge safari covering The Aberdares, Sweetwaters chimpanzees ,flamingos at Lake Nakuru National park, Kenya's most celebrated park - Maasai Mara for the big 5  and the annual wildebeest migration.

Day 1: Nairobi- Aberdares
Pick up from your hotel at 0800 hrs – Passing through the industrial town of Thika and the intensely cultivated farms of the central Kenya. Lunch at the Out span hotel Nyeri before transferring to the Treetops hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the Treetops hotel.

Day 2 : Aberdares – Sweetwaters’s.
Breakfast then proceed to Mt. Kenya region and take a full afternoon visit to Sweetwaters’s game ranch. Dinner and overnight stay at Sweetwaters’s tented camp.

Sweetwaters’s is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.

Day 3: Aberdares – Lake Nakuru National park
Breakfast then depart the lodge for Lake Nakuru National park arriving in good time for lunch at a Lodge. Full afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day: 1 Nairobi – Amboseli National park

Pick up from your hotel at 0800 hrs and drive to Amboseli via Namanga on the Tanzania border to reach Amboseli in good time for lunch. Lunch at a lodge followed by full afternoon gamedrives.Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or Similar

Amboseli Park (at 392 sq km) is the second most popular park in Kenya after Maasai Mara, mainly due to the spectacular backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro on the southern boundary.

Day 2: Amboseli National park
Today you will spend the full day in Amboseli with early morning and evening game drives. Whilst in the park, you will have the opportunity to photograph the animals against the wonderful backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. All meals and overnight will be at your lodge

Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo West National park
After an early breakfast depart for Tsavo West National Park which lies roughly half way between Nairobi and the Coast. Mzima Springs, the chief marvel here is a favorite haunt of hippos and crocodiles. Arrival at your Kilaguni Serena Lodge will be in time for lunch. An early evening game drive to see large herds of elephants, buffalo, common waterbuck, eland, rhino and wide variety of antelope. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Tsavo West – Tsavo East National park
We depart the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Tsavo East National park. Game is viewed as we exit the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Voi Safari Lodge

This park was famed for its large herds of elephant covered in red dust and fine scenery. We visit the scenic Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rocks (attracts elephants in the drier season) and Aruba Dam as we view game if time permits. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge

Day 5: Tsavo East National park.

Full day spent exploring the park. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Dinner and overnight stay at

Voi Safari Lodge

The landscape in Tsavo East is flatter and drier, despite having one of Kenya’s largest rivers flowing through the middle. Much of the wildlife is concentrated on the Galana River, which has plentiful crocs and hippos. Likewise, Kudus, waterbucks and dik-diks are common along the river banks.

Tsavo East – Mombasa

Early morning game drive. Soon after breakfast we proceed to Mombasa arriving at 1400 hrs.Drop off at a beach hotel to start a beach holiday.
